Galatasaray Intensifies Efforts to Secure Super Eagles Midfielder Raphael Onyedika
Turkish giants Galatasaray remain determined to finalize the signing of Raphael Onyedika, the dynamic midfielder currently plying his trade at Club Brugge, according to reports from Soccernet.ng.
The 24-year-old Nigerian international has emerged as one of the most coveted talents from Africa in the European football scene this transfer window, drawing attention from multiple clubs across the continent.
With the summer transfer deadline looming less than 36 hours away, Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt has reportedly expressed interest in acquiring Onyedika’s services, adding another layer of competition to the race.
Belgian media outlet Voetbal Primeur has also revealed that Ligue 1 side AS Monaco is contemplating a bid for the former FC Midtjylland midfielder, further intensifying the transfer saga.
Despite these emerging interests, no firm proposals have materialized yet. Earlier coverage by Soccernet.ng highlighted that Onyedika has verbally agreed to join Galatasaray, who appear to be the only club to have officially submitted an offer for the 17-cap Super Eagles star.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s Position on Onyedika Transfer
According to Bundesliga insider Christopher Michel, Onyedika is not currently a priority target for Eintracht Frankfurt at their Commerzbank Arena headquarters. However, a last-minute move could still be possible if the club receives a compelling offer before the transfer window shuts.
Club Brugge has set a steep asking price of €25 million for Onyedika, while Galatasaray is attempting to negotiate a staggered payment plan. The Turkish club’s proposal includes an initial loan fee of €5 million, followed by a compulsory purchase clause worth €15 million at the conclusion of the next season.
Galatasaray’s strategy aims to secure the midfielder’s signature while managing financial commitments over time, a method increasingly common among clubs navigating the post-pandemic economic landscape.
