In anticipation of their upcoming derby clash with Plateau United, Niger Tornadoes have issued a firm advisory to their loyal fans.
The Ikon Allah Boys are set to face Plateau United at the Bako Kontagora Stadium in Minna this Sunday.
Engr Dada, the club’s chairman, has called on supporters to maintain peace and allow the match officials to perform their duties without interference.
“I want to remind our fans that violence has no place in football and must be avoided at all costs, as it can severely harm any club involved,” Dada stated during an interview with Niger Tornadoes media.
“We witnessed a recent unfortunate event at an NPFL venue that led to a three-point deduction, a stadium ban, and hefty fines, which dealt a significant blow to the affected team.”
He further encouraged fans to continue their enthusiastic yet positive support, highlighting that their encouragement plays a crucial role in the team’s achievements.
With the derby expected to be fiercely competitive, Niger Tornadoes are committed to ensuring the match unfolds in a secure and respectful atmosphere.
