Odumeje Slams Pastor Adeboye, Oyedepo For Keeping Silent On Nigeria’s Bad Governance

Odumeje Calls Out Pastor Adeboye and Oyedepo for Their Silence on Nigeria’s Failing Leadership

  • Prophet Odumeje has openly criticized leading religious figures, including Pastor E.A. Adeboye and Bishop David Oyedepo, for their lack of response to Nigeria’s escalating political and economic crises.
  • He brands the current Nigerian government as one of the most corrupt and inefficient administrations worldwide.
  • Odumeje calls on Nigerian youth to mobilize and reclaim the nation from self-serving leaders who neglect public welfare.

Known for his outspoken nature, Prophet Odumeje has taken aim at prominent church leaders like Pastor E.A. Adeboye and Bishop David Oyedepo, accusing them of remaining silent amid Nigeria’s deepening political and economic turmoil.

He harshly criticized the current government, labeling it as one of the most corrupt and ineffective regimes globally. Odumeje emphasized that Nigerian youths must rise up to wrest control of the country from leaders who prioritize personal enrichment over national progress.

Highlighting a regional comparison, Odumeje pointed out that the Ghanaian cedi has appreciated against the Nigerian naira, illustrating the severe inflation and rising cost of living Nigerians face. He expressed sorrow that corruption and poor governance have become so entrenched that many citizens now accept them as the norm.

The preacher urged fellow religious leaders to break their silence and denounce the government’s failures, warning that weak leadership not only devastates the present but also undermines the moral fabric and future prospects of coming generations.

Regarding President Bola Tinubu’s administration, Odumeje reminded the public of campaign promises such as consistent electricity supply and insisted that the government must fulfill these commitments. He stressed the importance of holding leaders accountable for their pledges and actions.

In closing, Odumeje appealed to fathers, elders, and community leaders to actively participate in steering the nation forward, questioning why influential voices have chosen to remain quiet despite Nigeria’s ongoing challenges.

Odumeje stated …

“We cannot stay silent any longer. This is our homeland, and a transformation is overdue. Nigeria currently suffers under one of the most corrupt governments on earth. Even Ghana, once looked down upon, now boasts a stronger currency than ours. Back in the day, we mocked Ghana’s money, but today, the situation is reversed. Fuel prices in Aba are sky-high, yet no one speaks out. The cost of living is unbearable, and people have grown numb to bad governance as if it’s normal. It’s time for the youth to stand up and reclaim our country from those who masquerade as leaders but are really just businessmen exploiting the system. Previously, Nigerians would say ‘Ghana must go,’ but now, Ghanaians say ‘Nigeria must go.’ When leadership fails, the children suffer a loss of respect and hope. Before Tinubu took office, he promised 24-hour electricity within four years or no second term. Many saw that pledge, but now it’s forgotten. Religious leaders like Adeboye and Oyedepo should be the loudest voices condemning this failure. Fathers, do you realize the setbacks Nigeria faces?”
