Armed assailants believed to be Fulani herdsmen launched an attack on Daron village, located in the Gyel District of Jos South Local Government Area in Plateau State, resulting in the deaths of two individuals.
According to reports, the violent incident took place around 8 p.m. on Tuesday night, leaving one person wounded in the aftermath.
Solomon Dalyop, a youth leader from the community and President of the Berom Youths Moulders Association, confirmed the tragic event to journalists in Jos on Wednesday.
Dalyop stated, “At approximately 8 p.m. on October 21, 2025, armed bandits, believed to be Fulani herdsmen, attacked Daron village and fatally shot two people, including Mr. Pam Choji.”
He added that another individual sustained injuries during the assault in the Gyel District of Jos South LGA.
In a related development, the Plateau State Police Command has acknowledged the occurrence of the attack.
DSP Alabo Alfred, the police spokesperson, remarked, “We are aware of the incident and investigations are currently underway.”
