Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has officially named Hon. Benibo Anabraba, a former legislator of the State House of Assembly, as the incoming Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
This announcement was made public on Monday in Port Harcourt through a statement from Dr. Honour Sirawoo, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Communications.
According to the release, Hon. Anabraba is scheduled to take the oath of office this Monday evening at 4:00 pm. The ceremony will take place at the State Executive Council Chambers within the Government House, Port Harcourt.
The statement further detailed: “His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, Governor of Rivers State, has given his consent to appoint Hon. Benibo Anabraba as the Secretary to the Rivers State Government.
“The formal swearing-in of the new Secretary to the State Government will occur on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 4:00 pm in the State Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Port Harcourt.”
