This initiative aims to enrich the educational experience by providing vital digital resources and online learning tools.
At the inauguration event, RCA President Buchi Onyebule revealed that the e-library is equipped with 12 modern computers and integrates three key educational platforms: Google Education Fundamentals, Snapplify Engage, and U-Lesson, a locally developed resource specifically designed for junior secondary learners.
The facility also features comfortable seating and ergonomic tables, creating an inviting and productive environment conducive to focused study.
Mrs. Peju Lawanson, chairperson of the Run Club Abuja 2025 Charity Half Marathon organizing committee, extended heartfelt thanks to the sponsors, participants, and volunteers whose dedication made this project a reality.
She emphasized that the digital library would greatly improve students’ academic journeys by granting them access to a diverse array of knowledge and learning tools. “Our goal is to ignite a passion for education, foster innovation, and prepare students with the digital skills essential for success in today’s world,” she stated.
Mrs. Nneka Okonkwo, Principal of Junior Secondary School Gwagwa, expressed her gratitude for the new resource, highlighting that the school previously lacked a traditional library.
She described the digital library as a transformative step forward, enhancing educational quality and providing students with the means to compete on equal footing with peers from more privileged parts of Abuja.
Students Emmanuel Obioma and Goodness Akishere, both in JSS3, voiced their excitement about the new facility, noting how it would support their research and academic work.
Tony Edeh, Group Managing Director of Norrenberger Group and a principal collaborator on the project, represented by Head of Brand, Marketing and Communications Ibinabor Otonjo, highlighted that the digital library empowers students to extend their learning beyond the classroom, study independently, and set higher goals for their futures.
This impactful project was funded by the ₦10 million raised during the Run Club Abuja Charity Half Marathon held in July 2025.
