Nigerian artist Seyi Shay recently opened up about why she has not tied the knot with her child’s father, despite maintaining a strong and positive relationship with him.
During an engaging conversation with media figure Chude Jideonwo on the latest installment of his podcast, “With Chude,” which aired Sunday evening, the singer described their unmarried status as a “technical” matter.

The proud mother revealed that her partner, who is also Nigerian and involved in the music industry, currently resides in the United Kingdom. Despite the distance, they collaborate closely to co-parent their child harmoniously.
“It’s a technical situation, you know? But he’s wonderful, supportive, and present. He’s Nigerian, currently based in the UK, and works within the corporate side of the music business. We cooperate fully in raising our child and share a great friendship,” she explained.
