- Tiwa Savage has publicly refuted persistent rumors accusing her of undermining fellow female musicians, firmly denying these claims.
- During an appearance on the Offair Show, she urged accusers to present proof and suggested that event organizers might be exploiting her name to mislead others.
- This clarification comes in the wake of previous allegations made by Kenyan artist Victoria Kimani.
Afrobeats icon Tiwa Savage has finally addressed the ongoing speculation that she deliberately hinders the progress of other women in the music scene.
On the Offair Show, the singer behind “Somebody’s Son” categorically denied these accusations, inviting anyone with claims against her to come forward with tangible evidence.
She further suggested that some promoters might be fabricating stories involving her name to avoid booking multiple female performers, emphasizing that she has never obstructed anyone’s career opportunities.
This statement follows earlier claims by Kenyan vocalist Victoria Kimani, who alleged that Tiwa blocked her from performing at various events.
“If anyone says I tried to stop you from making money, name names. It could be that promoters are lying and using me as a scapegoat because they don’t want to book several female artists,” Tiwa explained.
In a separate development, social commentator Solomon Buchi ignited controversy after sharing a viral video featuring a new father expressing frustration that his wife received all the attention following childbirth.
Responding to the clip originally shared by comedian Maraji, Buchi highlighted how men’s emotions are frequently overlooked and proceeded to list types of women he advises men to avoid marrying.
The list includes:
1. Feminists.
2. Women raised in single-parent homes who have not yet healed emotionally.
3. Women whose fathers abused their mothers and who carry unresolved anger and pain.
4. Women who are consistently uncommunicative and turn every issue into a gender conflict.
5. Women who see themselves as princesses and expect to be served.
6. Women who view household duties as beneath them.
7. Women overly focused on their careers.
8. Women who idolize controversial musicians.
Here are some reactions from social media users:
@Odogwunwanyii commented: “Is there something wrong with Solomon Buchi? He’s like a low-budget Andrew Tate and doesn’t even realize it.”
@olhabc remarked: “Buchi a feminist now? What’s happening? Why is he suddenly criticizing the very people he used to support?”
@Prymefactor noted: “But someone married him despite all these red flags.”
@macw_internatnl said: “Instead of arguing, maybe you should take notes. So many people are exposing themselves in the comments.”
@iam_kulstar joked: “According to Solomon Buchi’s list, 90% of Nigerian women are disqualified. That leaves just 10% for us to compete over… and I’ve already married one. I pity the rest, women are becoming rare!” 😂🤣
