Ahmed Tijjani Aminu, the recently appointed state chairman of NNPP, made this declaration following the formal inauguration of the party’s organizational framework across the state, including local government areas and all 212 wards.
Addressing attendees at the Monday event in Bauchi city, Aminu emphasized that the party’s robust grassroots presence equips it to serve as a credible opposition force. He highlighted NNPP’s dedication to holding the current Bauchi State administration accountable while presenting policy alternatives that prioritize the welfare of the people.
He called on the public and prospective political candidates to embrace the party’s harmonious and inclusive platform, stressing that leadership is a sacred trust accessible to all, not just those in power.
Aminu outlined expectations for party officials at every tier to demonstrate humility, commitment, and integrity as they strive to fulfill the party’s vision of electoral success in the state.
“Our leadership will strictly adhere to legal frameworks, uphold the supremacy of the party, and respect democratic principles,” he stated.
“In our engagement with the populace, we pledge to maintain the highest levels of political maturity and constructive dialogue befitting a democratic environment,” Aminu added.
He also urged citizens to actively participate in the ongoing voter registration exercise conducted by INEC, revealing that NNPP has launched its own membership enrollment drive throughout all wards in Bauchi’s 20 local government areas.
“Our mission is straightforward: we are prepared to collaborate earnestly with dedicated politicians. Ultimately, our aim is to win elections and deliver authentic, people-focused governance to the people of Bauchi,” the chairman concluded.
