Shocking Scam Uncovered: Woman Caught Taking ICAN Exam on Behalf of Taraba Finance Commissioner (Video)

A viral video has surfaced showing a woman caught impersonating the Taraba State Commissioner for Finance, Sarah Enoch Adi, during the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) examination.

The footage, which circulated widely on social media platforms on Monday, reveals the suspect, identified as Leavitt Felix, being apprehended by exam invigilators while sitting the test on behalf of the commissioner.

Under questioning, Felix admitted to acting as a proxy, taking the professional exam in place of the commissioner.

Exam supervisors disclosed that their records indicated the commissioner had arranged for someone else to sit the exam, a fact confirmed by Felix herself during the interrogation.

The exchange between the supervisors and the suspect included the following:

“What is your name?”

“Sarah.”

“Please say it louder. You’re here writing for Sarah Adi, correct? Who is she?”

Another supervisor interjected:

“She already mentioned it. She said Sarah Enoch Adi.”

Noticing inconsistencies between Felix’s answers and their database, the supervisors pressed further:

“Who exactly is this person? Where does she work? Earlier, you said you work at the Ministry of Finance, so presumably, you mentioned the commissioner’s office. Am I right? So, who currently works at the Ministry of Finance? Who did you link to that office?”

When Felix appeared uncertain and only shook her head, the exam official responded:

“Do you realize your statements don’t align with the facts? I verified the details you gave me. When you mentioned the name, I checked the CRM system and confirmed the address matches the person who sent you here. Before questioning you, I accessed the system using the student registration number and reviewed the candidate’s data, which contradicted your claims.”

“I also asked for your phone number and registration date, but none of the information you provided matched our records.”

Eventually, Felix confessed she did not personally know the commissioner but was hired by someone named Joshua to take the exam on her behalf.

“So, you don’t know the commissioner personally. Who exactly hired you? Feel free to tell us,” one invigilator asked.

Felix repeated the name ‘Joshua’ but admitted she was unaware of his last name or workplace.

The supervisors warned that if she failed to disclose complete information, they would escalate the matter to law enforcement authorities.

“All the details we’re gathering here will be cross-checked with the police. We want to resolve this quickly. If you cooperate, you can leave without further delay,” one supervisor stated.
