ABUMET Nigeria Ltd, a leading provider of comprehensive aluminium solutions, recently energized young creatives in Abuja through an engaging Graffiti Art Competition accompanied by cash prizes.

This event, part of ABUMET’s corporate social responsibility initiatives, invited young artists to showcase their imaginative skills while integrating themes related to the company’s brand identity.

During the award ceremony, Diemo Schillack, ABUMET’s General Manager, emphasized that the competition exemplified the company’s dedication to nurturing emerging talents, fostering innovation, and empowering future leaders.

He stressed the importance of maintaining such programs to sustain the positive momentum generated among the youth.

Highlighting ABUMET’s reputation for delivering top-tier projects, Schillack explained that the decision to host the Graffiti competition was intentional and aligned with the company’s mission.

Focused on advancing education and human capital, ABUMET hosted its inaugural Graffiti Art Competition in Abuja, providing university students a unique platform to creatively express themselves. Participants were encouraged to incorporate elements symbolic of the company, such as aluminium structures, façades, and the essence of skilled craftsmanship.

“Over the course of two days, contestants transformed plain shipping containers into dynamic canvases, demonstrating originality, skill, and inventive approaches,” Schillack noted.

The competition’s panel of judges, composed of seasoned local artists, assessed entries based on creativity, originality, thematic relevance, execution quality, and overall visual impact.

Ultimately, three standout artists were recognized: Johaness secured the top prize of N1,000,000; Zaphaniel and Boluwatife earned second and third places, receiving N500,000 and N300,000 respectively.

In line with ABUMET’s philosophy of acknowledging all contributions, consolation awards were also presented to other participants, celebrating their creativity and dedication to the event’s success.
